Landgate’s latest Business Activity Profile (BAP) shows a decline in the number of property related documents lodged for the month of August with a fall of 7.04 per cent compared to July, and 5.63 per cent compared to the same time last year.
Landgate Chief Executive Mike Bradford said generally, activity had declined.
“There was, however, a 5.77 per cent increase in strata lots created in August compared to July,” Mr Bradford said.
“This has been a continuing trend with Landgate reporting an eight-year-high in the number of strata lots created in April.”
Landgate's Business Activity Profile covers all property related documents lodged within Landgate and is a barometer of the state of the property market in Western Australia.
The August BAP 2015 is available on Landgate's website. It provides the monthly total of all documents lodged with sections detailing transfers, mortgages, caveats, searches and other categories of property related documents.
